Welcome to Paradise

Vier je zomer op Welcome to Paradise aan het paradijselijke Lac du Bourget in de ruim 900
jaar oude abij van Hautecombe!

De cocktail die zich al 10 jaar heeft bewezen is een groot à la carte festival waar de menukaart elke dag ruim 20 activiteiten aanbied. Onder andere lezingen, gebedstijden, deeltijden, sportactiviteiten en momenten van ontspanning. Naast de vele workshops kent het festival een aantal grote gezamenlijke hoogtepunten: gebedsavonden, aanbidding, liturgische vieringen, de weg van het kruis en een verzoeningsavond. Natuurlijk zijn ook de KawaCo en het prachtige zwemmeer onmisbaar gedurende het vijfdaagse festival.

Het festival is vormgegeven rondom de vier pijlers van het festival: persoonlijke vorming, bidden, gemeenschap en a la carte.

Er zijn dit jaar twee festivalweken:
– Festival 1: maandag 21 juli tot en met zaterdag 26 juli
– Festival 2: maandag 4 augustus tot en met zaterdag 9 augustus – met delegatiereis

Celebrate your summer at Welcome to Paradise at the over 900-year-old abbey of Hautecombe at the edge of the heavenly Lac du Bourget!

The cocktail that has proven itself for 10 years is a large à la carte festival where the menu
offers over 20 activities each day. These include lectures, prayer times, sharing times, sports
activities and moments of relaxation. Besides the many workshops, the festival has a number
of major joint highlights: prayer nights, worship, liturgical celebrations, the way of the cross
and an evening of reconciliation. Of course, the KawaCo and the beautiful swimming lake are
also indispensable during the five-day festival.

The festival is designed around its four pillars: personal formation, prayer, fellowship and a la

There are two festival weeks this year:
-Festival 1: Monday 21 July to Saturday 26 July
– Festival 2: Monday 4 August to Saturday 9 August – with delegation trip

Samen op reis gaan is heel waardevol. Het is fantastisch om tijdens de reis al met elkaar te
kunnen delen en om ook tijdens het festival al mensen te kennen. Vanuit Nederland gaan we
met een delegatie naar de tweede festivalweek. Hiervoor kun je je aanmelden door op
‘inschrijven’ te klikken. We zullen gezamenlijk vertrekken op zondag 3 augustus en
terugkomen op zondag 10 augustus. Aanmelden voor de delegatiereis kan tot 15 juni.

Going on a trip together is very valuable. It is great to already be able to share with each
other during the trip and to already know people during the festival. From the Netherlands a
delegation will travel to the second festival week. You can sign up for this by clicking on
‘register’. We will leave together on Sunday 3 August and return on Sunday 10 August. You
can sign up for the delegation trip until 15 June.
